GPRN/NSCN (Unification) Yimkhiung Region condemns the murder of Colonel Yanrikiu Yimkhiung in Shamator, calling it a violation of ENPO resolution.

DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN (Unification), Yimkhiung Region, has condemned the murder of its Naga Army officer, Colonel Yanrikiu Yimkhiung, on December 5 in Shamator town.
In a press release, the region expressed outrage regarding the actions of the perpetrators, stating that they have blatantly violated the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) resolution and imperilled the ongoing peace efforts within the region.

It stated that such an act has no place in Naga society and cannot be tolerated.
The group called upon all Naga citizens to denounce the crime. It added that regardless of who may be responsible, every effort shall be exerted to ensure that the culprits are identified and justice secured in accordance with the law.
The GPRN/NSCN (Unification), under the leadership of President General (Retd.) M B Neokpao Konyak and the Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh, further extended condolences to the bereaved family.
