
La. Ganesan along with the faculty and students of St.
Xavier College, Jalukie, during the felicitation programme at Raj Bhavan in
Kohima on Sunday.

Governor, La. Ganesan, has felicitated the students of St. Xavier College,
Jalukie, who have participated in the cultural parade during the Republic Day
celebration 2024 in New Delhi.
- The felicitation ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan in Kohima
during the live screening of the 121st episode of 'Mann Ki Baat,' the monthly
radio programme of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on Sunday.
- Speaking on the occasion, the governor congratulated the
students and praised their outstanding contributions in representing the state
at the national event. He lauded their talent, creativity and enthusiasm,
stating that their performances not only entertained the audience but also
highlighted the rich cultural diversity of the nation.

- "It is heartening to see our daughters represent our
state on such a grand platform. Your participation embodied the spirit of
unity, diversity and inclusivity that our republic stands for," the
governor said.
- He also reflected on the impactful messages shared by the
Prime Minister during the 'Mann Ki Baat' episode, emphasising the values of
service, compassion and community building. He encouraged everyone to
incorporate those values and contribute actively towards the nation's progress.
- Recalling the legacy of pioneering women leaders like
Sarojini Naidu, Rajkumari Amrit Kaur and Hansa Mehta, the governor urged the
young students to draw inspiration from their lives and continue to strive for
excellence in all fields.
- Acknowledging the support of the college administration, the
governor thanked the principal and faculty of St. Xavier College for
encouraging the students to participate in the prestigious Republic Day
celebrations. He also called upon educational institutions to adopt a holistic
approach to education by nurturing not only academic excellence but also
creativity, passion and overall student well-being.
- The governor concluded by urging the college and students to
continue promoting India's rich cultural heritage and upholding the spirit of
unity in diversity.
- On the occasion, a song was presented by students of St.
Xavier College and a short speech by Gaikulung Andrew, IQAC coordinator.
