Government High School, Signal Angami, organises awareness-cum-plantation drive.

DIMAPUR — With an aim to promote cleaner air and environmental stewardship through collaborative action, Government High School (GHS), Signal Angami, under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) conducted an awareness-cum-plantation drive on Friday on the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.”
An update from the school stated that the programme was spearheaded by the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU), in collaboration with the district administration and support from the school community.
It stated that student leaders, teachers and members of DNSU took part in a plantation drive and awareness session, fostering environmental responsibility among youth and residents.

The event was part of DNSU’s ongoing commitment to environmental advocacy with the district administration and Government High School, Signal Angami, which provided resources and local support. The event highlighted NCAP’s mission for cleaner air and a greener future.
It mentioned that the drive saw active participation from students and educators, inspiring the planting of saplings and promoting awareness of air quality issues. Participants were also administered pledge to uphold cleaner and greener community values, marking a meaningful step toward sustainable environmental change in Dimapur.
