DIMAPUR — The Global Naga Forum (GNF) has condemned what it described as a “vile, violent and cowardly” Facebook post targeting its co-convenor, Prof. Rosemary Dzüvichü, on September 23.
The post, by WJ Longkumer in the group Unified Naga Land for Christ, allegedly included death threats and abusive language.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the forum asserted that such threats, especially against women, were criminal and reflected “shocking moral decay.”
“No threat, no bullet, and no hate-filled word can silence the voice of truth, justice, and women’s dignity,” the statement read.

It expressed solidarity with Prof. Dzüvichü and all Naga women working for justice, stressing that the attack represented “an assault on every mother, sister, and daughter of our land.”
The forum also noted claims that Longkumer declared affiliation with the civil wing of NSCN (IM) in another online group and urged authorities to investigate promptly.
Calling for immediate action, the GNF demanded that law enforcement agencies take swift measures against the individual responsible.
