A one-day FSSAI and Udyam registration drive for self-help groups was conducted at Chuchuyimpang village, Mokokchung.

DIMAPUR — A one-day FSSAI and Udyam Registration for self-help groups (SHGs) was conducted in collaboration with Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NSRLM) and District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Mokokchung, at Chuchuyimpang village under Ongpangkong Block of Mokokchung district on August 26, attended by more than 70 participants.
The resource persons for the programme were Food Safety Officer Sukumlo Yanthan and RAMP from the Department of Industries and Commerce Lhouvingutuo Kehie, while the keynote address was delivered by District Industries Centre (DIC) Functional Manager Nongsheba Lamliu.
The programme was conducted by DIC Mokokchung in collaboration with DAY-NSRLM and DRDA Mokokchung as a part of the Annual Action Plan for the financial year 2025–2026.

The participants were sensitised on the importance of Udyam Registration and FSSAI Registration and on the sanitation and hygiene of processed food items.
Sukumlo spoke on the importance of food safety and stressed the need for maintaining strict food quality and safety measures. She also spoke about the correct labelling of food products and the various logos associated with non-vegetarian food, vegetarian food, AGMARK, BIS, organic, fortified, etc.
It was mentioned that this is one of the first programmes of its kind initiated in Chuchuyimpang village. Spot-on registration for the SHGs was carried out after the programme and IEC materials were also distributed.
