- DIMAPUR — Khuzama
Empowerment and Skill Advancement (KESA), in partnership with Doctors for You
(DFY) and with sponsorship support from the National Highways and
Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL), organised an awareness
camp on menstrual hygiene management, along with the distribution of free
reusable sanitary pads, on Thursday at the Khuzama Village Council Hall in
Kohima.
- According to an update, the initiative, assisted by the
Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), aimed to promote
menstrual health awareness and provide sustainable hygiene solutions to girls
and women in the community.

- The programme witnessed participation from over 150 girl
students from Baptist Higher Secondary School, Sacred Heart School, and
Government High School, alongside women from Khuzama village.
- KESA is an initiative of Mhachü Kedojü Houdo, a
sub-committee under the Khuzama Baptist Church Centenary Committee, dedicated
to empowering the youth and wider community of Khuzama through structured skill
development, vocational training, and employment generation programmes.
- The update mentioned that KESA envisions sustainable,
community-led transformation addressing local challenges such as unemployment
while fostering entrepreneurial and employability skills.
