The Fellowship of Naga Baptist Associations condemns the killing of four Naga civilians in Kangpokpi, Manipur.
DIMAPUR — The Fellowship of Naga Baptist Associations (FNBA) has condemned an armed attack on innocent Naga civilians along the IT Road in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, on Thursday.
The attack, which occurred between Makui Ashang and Thanamba Naga, reportedly left four persons dead and one injured.
According to a press release from the FNBA, the deceased have been identified as Tadsongbou Ringkangmai, founder and Principal of Right Path School, T Khullen; Mariakdibou Wijunamai, executive member of the Makui Youth Club; Japou MK, a student leader from Thonglang Akutpa; and Anil Wijunamai, executive member of the Makui Youth Club. Gaikamang Ringkangmai was injured in the incident.

The FNBA described the cold-blooded attack on civilians as utterly unacceptable and condemned it without reservation, stating that targeting innocent people is a grave violation of human dignity, public safety, and the rule of law.
The association demanded that the government and responsible authorities immediately identify, arrest, and prosecute every person responsible. It stated that the perpetrators must be booked under the strongest applicable anti-terrorism and criminal laws and given the severest punishment prescribed by law through due process. It added that no armed group or individual must be permitted to operate with impunity.
Mourning the lives lost, the FNBA extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, stating that there can be no justification for the deliberate killing of innocent civilians.
