DIMAPUR — The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Nagaland will organise its first NCC festival and alumni meet on March 17 at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma, Kohima district. Around 600 NCC cadets and alumni are expected to participate in the event.
NCC in Nagaland comprises three Army units and one Air Force unit with their Group Headquarters located at Kohima. All four units will come together for the celebration.
According to an update, several events have been scheduled for the festival. Senior wing cadets will conduct a continuity drill display, while junior wing cadets will present a live band display.

Competitive sports and toughness competitions such as Iron Man, Iron Lady and arm wrestling will also be organised.
The festival will provide a platform for cadets and alumni to showcase their talents in NCC and cultural events. Several state departments will also conduct awareness programmes for youth empowerment and skill development.
The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will organise workshops and awareness drives during the festival.
