- DIMAPUR — A massive fire broke out at United
North Block A, Burma Camp, in Dimapur early Saturday morning, leaving more than
20 families homeless.
- The officer in charge of Central Fire Station Dimapur,
Niamlungpou Gonmei, informed that they had received the distress call at 5.18
am and immediately dispatched two fire tenders from the station along with fire
personnel.
- According to him, they managed to douse the fire within 28
minutes and prevent it from spreading further.

- The officer informed that the cause of the fire is suspected
to be an electrical short circuit. He said that the estimated loss of property
might be around INR 10-15 lakh. No casualty was reported.
