Fire destroys three shops in Diphu town during Diwali celebration.

DIPHU — A total of three shops, located adjacent to Shree Mangal Showroom, dealing in readymade garments in Diphu town, were destroyed in a devastating fire that broke during Diwali celebration.
According to eye witnesses, the incident happened around 6:30 am in the morning. The cause of fire was suspected to be from electric short circuit.
In the incident, a shop selling bakery products, a popular ‘Ramaji Pan Shop’ and a hardware shop selling plastic chairs and other hardware items were completely burned to ashes.

Eye witnesses informed that all the three shops were engulfed by fire within no time. Items worth lakhs of rupees stored inside the shops were completely burned.
A businessman said that fire fighters were immediately informed but the fire consumed the shops before they arrived.
Shree Mangal showroom was also partial damaged as 8 exhaust fans of the AC fitted on the wall outside were damaged.
