DIMAPUR — Two Assam-type houses were completely destroyed in a fire at Eralibill village, Lane 2G, in Dimapur on Friday.
An official from the Central Fire Station, Dimapur, said they received a distress call at around 9.29 am and promptly dispatched two fire tenders along with personnel to the scene. The blaze was brought under control within 40 minutes.

The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. Two Naga families were affected, and the total loss of property is yet to be assessed. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
