MOKOKCHUNG — The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Mokokchung region convened an installation programme for its new office bearers for the 2024-2027 tenure at the Sangtemla Ward Multi-purpose Hall on Thursday.

N Bendang Jamir, working president of NDPP Nagaland, officiated the oath-taking ceremony, announcing the new team, including the region office, Women Organisation, Youth Organisation, and Agri & Allied Organisation.

The new leadership includes Repameren as president of the NDPP Mokokchung region, Margaret leading the Women Organisation, N Akok Longkumer as Youth Organisation president, and Repamangyang heading the Agri and Allied Organisation.

TN Mannen, MLA and Advisor for Law and Justice and Land Revenue, emphasised in his keynote address that petty jealousy should not hinder progress and that unity would propel the party to greater heights.

He urged collaboration with alliance partners in Nagaland’s opposition-less government, adding that they should not avoid the other political party, especially their alliance partner, given the nature of the opposition-less government.

He stressed the need for mental preparedness to face evolving challenges, noting that mature leadership will define success.

Highlighting Nagaland’s youthful demographic, Mannen called for turning youth into assets through innovative approaches. “The new team must focus on grassroots engagement, embracing new challenges and horizons to strengthen the party,” he added.
