DIMAPUR — The fourth day of the ongoing 13th Dimapur Night Carnival, a Hornbill Festival Extension, on Tuesday was attended by senior vice-president of the Naga Peoples Front (NPF), Charlie Sekhose, as special guest.
In his address, Sekhose expressed gratitude and delight at being part of the vibrant celebration, stating that the carnival truly reflects the essence of festivity, togetherness, and community spirit.
As the Christmas season approaches, he noted, the event radiates warmth and joy, bringing people of all walks together in a shared atmosphere of celebration.
Extending festive greetings on behalf of the chief minister, the NPF leader conveyed his best wishes to the citizens and commended the Dimapur Municipal Council, district authorities, and organisers for successfully steering the carnival and creating a platform of enjoyment for the public.

He also appreciated the district administration, law enforcement agencies, and security personnel for ensuring a peaceful and well-coordinated celebration.
Wishing everyone a cheerful pre-Christmas season, Sekhose hoped the carnival would continue to spread happiness and festive cheer.
Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, also attended the event.
The programme featured an invocation prayer by Pastor Kenei Kiso of Life Square Church, Chümoukedima, followed by a welcome address from Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) councillor, Mahesh Agarwal.
A special song was presented by Prem and Nikato. The evening also included the announcement of raffle draw winners, stall inspections, and an entertainment extravaganza.
