KOHIMA — Mia by Tanishq is set to make its entry into the Northeast with the launch of an exclusive jewellery collection inspired by Nagaland’s cultural motifs at the Hornbill Festival 2025.
The collection, featuring designs drawn from the Hornbill bird, traditional sickles, feathers and the iconic colour palette of black, white, red and green associated with Naga attire, will be unveiled at the festival on Wednesday before becoming available on the brand’s website.
Ajay Maurya, Product and Marketing Head of Mia by Tanishq, said the brand is delighted to be part of the Hornbill Festival, describing the association as a natural extension of Mia’s design philosophy and its appreciation for rooted culture.
He noted that this first-ever foray into the Northeast is especially exciting due to the region’s strong design sensibilities and deep affinity for jewellery, adding that the festival serves as a stepping stone for deeper engagement with local communities, including plans for a retail foray into Nagaland.

Although prices of the new collection are yet to be announced, the silver range is expected to remain pocket-friendly. Signalling its intent to foster meaningful cultural collaborations, he added that Mia by Tanishq is open to partnering with Naga jewellers and designers, emphasising the importance of celebrating both the Hornbill Festival and the local creators who inspire women across Nagaland.
