DIMAPUR — The Political Science department of Fazl Ali College, in collaboration with Tzüsapang Baptist Church, conducted a one-day community extension service on Friday at the church premises on the theme “Constitutional rights and civic duties: Awareness for an inclusive society.”
An update from the college stated that the programme was aimed at helping the participants understand their rights and duties as citizens and connect them with Christian values.
The event was chaired by Putusosang of fifth semester student, while an invocation prayer was said by Senti Jamir, deacon of the church. The welcome address was delivered by Rev. W Supong, pastor of Tzüsapang Baptist Church, and Dr. E Benrithung Patton gave an introductory remarks.

It stated that Sentinaro, a fifth semester student, presented a poem titled “I for an impassioned Indian,” followed by paper presentations by Sangpangmeren on “Inclusive citizenship: Building a just and participatory society” and Temsuienla on “Fundamental rights: Empowering every citizen.”
A key part of the event was the “civic values circle,” an interactive game led by the students. It stated that participants discussed different rights and duties, sharing personal thoughts and Bible verses.
Feedback was shared by Helen Jamir and a wrap-up reflection was given by Dr. Imnazenla Longkumer. Temjeneremang delivered the vote of thanks and Sunep Jamir said the closing prayer.
