In addition to healthcare, the scheme also offers cash benefits to insured persons.
The scheme applies to employees working in factories and establishments such as road transport, hotels, restaurants, cinemas, newspapers, shops, and private medical and educational institutions employing 10 or more persons, with wages up to INR 21,000 per month.
