graduation ceremony on May 8.
- DIMAPUR — The
Ecclesia Theological College and Seminary (ETCS) held its 21st graduation
ceremony on May 8 at the Kim Jin Won Chapel of the college. The event coincided
with the announcement of the college’s successful accreditation by the Asia
Theological Association for its Master of Divinity programme.
- In his opening address, the college founder and principal,
Rev. Dr. Vikheshe Chishi, congratulated the graduates and expressed gratitude
to the Lord for the institution’s newly granted accreditation, stated an update
from the college.
- He challenged the graduates to use their academic training
as a foundation for transformational ministry saying, “You have studied not for
the sake of knowledge alone but to serve, to teach and to lead with wisdom and
compassion in a complex world.”

- The guest speaker and pastor of Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church,
Benjamin Sumi, delivered a stirring message encouraging the graduates to remain
committed to the theme "The labourers are few." He emphasised that
God does not merely need a labourer who imitates and pretends, a person whose
words and actions do not align, but one who possesses integrity, commitment,
diligence and responsibility.
- He pointed out that just as everyone seeks the best in every
field—whether in a hospital, church or educational institution, God seeks those
who are truly committed to doing His kingdom work.
- He concluded by stressing that commitment is more important
than skills or degrees, as ministry is not an exploration but a calling.
- Awards for academic excellence was given to Vicky Gurung
(Master of Divinity) and Jemima Achumi (Bachelor of Theology); best disciple to
Daniel Engti; resilience award to Thang Shing Om; Christian leadership awards
to Lakhum, Kumsola, Kuputoli and Daniel and best in preaching to Vicky Gurung.
The best chapel and devotion attendance were also awarded.
- The ceremony concluded with a prayer of commissioning led by
the founder and principal.
