- DIMAPUR — In a move to uplift the educational prospects
of students from eastern Nagaland, Mahendra's Education and the Eastern
Nagaland Sumi Students' Union (ENSSU) have entered into a formal partnership
aimed at providing quality coaching and scholarship programmes for government
job aspirants.
- The collaboration is especially for Sumi students in the
eastern part of Nagaland preparing for the Nagaland Public Service Commission
(NPSC), the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), banking, and the Staff

- As per the MoU, ENSSU would take the lead in mobilising
students and organising awareness campaigns and career guidance sessions,
leveraging its strong grassroots network. The union would also ensure that
critical information regarding state and central government job opportunities
reaches every deserving eastern Sumi student.
- Mahendra's Education, on its part, would provide experienced
faculty and subject experts to conduct sessions and offer coaching in its
Dimapur and Kohima branches.
- A significant highlight of the partnership was the provision
of scholarships and enrollment benefits for students referred through ENSSU. It

fees, depending on the programme. Besides, students in financial distress would
receive up to a 100% scholarship.
- It mentioned that the duration of classes for NPSC would be
6-8 months, while for NSSB and SSC it would last for 4-5 months, and the
banking course would be 3-4 months in duration.
- Through the collaboration, ENSSU aims to empower the Sumi
youth in eastern Nagaland with the tools and guidance they need to succeed in
competitive exams. The partnership reflected the deep commitment to education
and community development.
