- DIMAPUR — The
Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation (ENPO) has appealed for coordination
among the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the government of Nagaland, and
Members of Parliament to pave the way for an early resolution of the Frontier
Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue.
- In a late-night statement issued on Wednesday, the
organisation confirmed that it had officially remitted its stance on the FNT to
the MHA on April 28 and subsequently submitted the same to the government of
Nagaland on May 1 and to ENLU members on May 5.
- It also sent the same to MP (Lok Sabha) Supongmeren Jamir
and MP (Rajya Sabha) S Phangnon Konyak on May 7. The ENPO emphasised that the
final outcome on the FNT should be a win-win situation for all.

- While acknowledging Minister KG Kenye's statement regarding
a high-level understanding between the state government and the ENPO on the
FNT, the ENPO clarified that no conspiracy transpired between them and the MHA
and that the process will be transparent during tripartite talks.
- The ENPO clarified that no new draft on FNT was formulated,
but rather the organisation inserted its stance and comments under the relevant
sections of the existing MoS draft and the state government's comments.
- It also requested special prayers from all “Eastern
churches” for its stance on the FNT.
