DIMAPUR — The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) convened a meeting at Hotel Saramati in Dimapur on Tuesday to discuss contentious issues resolved during the third tripartite high-level meeting held on July 23 in New Delhi. The discussions focused on points that had remained unsettled in earlier talks regarding the proposed Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT).
Briefing the media after the over five-hour meeting, ENPO president A Chingmak Chang said the session was aimed at updating members of the Eastern Nagaland Legislators’ Union (ENLU), frontal organisations, and tribal bodies on the resolved issues, but declined to comment further.

He added that no new resolutions were taken up during Tuesday’s meeting, but the next round of talks would be held soon. Although a date has yet to be confirmed, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the next meeting is likely to take place in August.
Asked about reports that the Centre had directed the state government to resolve outstanding issues within a fortnight, Chang declined to comment, saying he was not in a position to speak on the matter.
