DIMAPUR — The Agri and Allied Organisation of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) made its maiden visit to Zunheboto district, marking the beginning of its outreach programme.

The primary objective of the visit was to encourage farmers and assure them of continued support from the organisation, according to an update.

Addressing the gathering, Swu introduced the Agri and Allied Organisation and elaborated on its purpose. He emphasised the importance of the younger generation taking up careers in agriculture and allied sectors.

He also shared innovative farming techniques, including the concept of artificial insemination—not just for livestock but also as a method to enhance the quality of fruits and vegetables. He explained that such modern practices can help improve sweetness and yield.

Additionally, Swu highlighted the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative, a government vision aimed at transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, coinciding with the 100th year of India’s independence.

The central team was accompanied by members of the NDPP Zunheboto region, along with representatives from the women’s organisation and youth organisation.
