East Dimapur Town Council seeks arrest in assault case

• DIMAPUR — The East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC), in collaboration with the GBs, colony chairmen, secretaries, the East Dimapur Tribal Council, and elders of the community, convened a meeting on April 29 to deliberate on the alleged assault case involving a woman that took place on April 16 at Moon Star Bakery, Jorapukhur Ward 3, Purana Bazar, East Dimapur.

• According to an update, after thorough discussion, the council unanimously resolved to urge the concerned authorities to arrest the accused, Nurul Hoque, at the earliest. The council further emphasised that the individual should be dealt with strictly as per the law to ensure justice is served and such incidents are deterred in the future.
