Temporary bridge over Dzumha River washed away by flooding, prompting Dimapur authorities to restrict vehicle movement until further notice
DIMAPUR — A temporary bridge over Dzumha River between Jharnapani and Molvom on the Peren Road was washed away following incessant rainfall and flooding, prompting the Dimapur Commissioner of Police to restrict movement of all vehicles along the affected stretch with immediate effect.
In a traffic advisory issued on Tuesday, Commissioner of Police Aotula T Imchen said the restriction had been imposed in the interest of public safety and would remain in force until further notice.
All types of vehicles have been restricted from using the affected stretch until further notice, the Commissioner of Police said. The traffic restriction will remain effective until the route is considered safe for vehicular movement.
