DIMAPUR — Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Dr. Sukhato A Sema on Friday today launched the Faith Hospital App at Faith Hospital, Old Sewak Road, Dimapur.
Speaking on the occasion, Medical Superintendent of Faith Hospital and Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Althea Wotsa, said the app has been developed to support patients by bringing essential hospital services directly to their fingertips.
She stated that health emergencies often come without warning—late at night, during busy workdays, or when people are least prepared. In such moments, she said, what people need most is immediate support, clear guidance, and trusted care, rather than confusion or delays.
Dr. Wotsa highlighted that at Faith Hospital, they witness such situations daily – a worried father carrying a child with high fever while anxiously waiting for consultation, elderly patients who require regular medication but struggle to travel, and families rushing around, making repeated phone calls to arrange ambulance services.

“These experiences made us pause and ask ourselves a simple yet important question—how can we make healthcare easier, faster, and less stressful for the people we serve?” she said, adding that this question led to the development of the app.
With the launch of the app, she noted that healthcare no longer begins only when patients enter the hospital premises, but starts at home, at work, and in moments of urgent need.
She explained that a working mother can now book appointments within minutes, patients can upload prescriptions and receive medicines at home, and ambulance services can be accessed with a single phone call.
She further informed that patients can upload prescriptions, lab reports, and other medical documents on the app, eliminating the risk of losing or misplacing hospital files. The app also connects patients to visiting specialists from outside the state, bringing advanced medical expertise closer to the community.
She said the benefits of the app are simple yet powerful—it improves access to healthcare, saves time, reduces stress, and provides peace of mind. The app will also helps families prepare better, respond faster, and stay connected with healthcare services.
Urging the public to download the app, Dr. Wotsa said, “Even if you don’t need it today, keep it ready—because when health matters, being prepared makes all the difference.”
The app can be downloaded from the Play Store. For iOS users, the app is available under the name “Faith Nagaland”, while Android users can download it as “Faith Hospital.”
