Dr. Povotso Lohe of Nagaland received an honorary doctorate in social service at a ceremony held in Guwahati.

DIMAPUR — Dr. Povotso Lohe, an advocate of the Gauhati High Court (Kohima Bench) and a social worker from Nagaland, was conferred an “Iconic Honorary Doctorate in Social Service (DSS)” along with a gold medal and a ‘Super Star Trophy’ at a ceremony held in Guwahati on Sunday.
The event, which coincided with Father’s Day celebrations, was part of the International Apostolic Convocation Ceremony organised by the World University of Discipleship Institute for Apostolic Ministries, according to an update.

It was held at CRC Hall, opposite Delhi Public School, ISBT, and conducted under the authorisation of SSU, Section 2, UGC Act 1956, Government of India, in strategic partnership with representatives from 193 countries.
It said that Dr. Lohe has been doing humanitarian service for more than four decades, and, in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to the northeast, he was publicly honoured in the presence of more than 300 state delegates from the northeastern states.
