- DIMAPUR — The
Advisor to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr. Chumben Murry, inaugurated the
first processing lab of Dr. Lal PathLabs in partnership with ENR Health –
Nagaland at HT Square Building, Notun Bosti, Dimapur, on Monday.
- While speaking at the inauguration programme as chief guest,
Dr. Murry said that Dr. Lal PathLabs, evolving from a single laboratory in 1949
to over 300 labs today, conducting more than 5,000 tests altogether and serving
over a lakh patients daily, is a great achievement.
- He said Naga society is still a nascent society, with a
civilisation journey of about 150 years, and healthcare facilities remain
rudimentary. However, despite various challenges, the future of healthcare in
Nagaland looks promising, with significant improvements on the horizon.

- He mentioned that Dr. Lal PathLabs has a promising future in
Nagaland, as the Northeast corridor will play a crucial role in the country’s
economy. While Nagaland is still developing, significant progress is expected,
and though healthcare is currently in its early stages, the next 20 years will
bring transformative changes, paving the way for advanced medical facilities
and improved healthcare services.
- He also appreciated Dr. Lal PathLabs for not only providing
diagnostic services to patients but also focusing on human resource development
through staff training, capacity building, and skill enhancement for the staff.
- At the event, a short speech was delivered by the COO of Dr.
Lal PathLabs, Jai Prakash Meena, and the CEO of Dr. Lal PathLabs, Shankha
Banerjee.
- Dr. Lal PathLabs, founded in 1949 by Dr. SK Lal, has been a
pioneer in the field of pathology and laboratory medicine.
