DoSE felicitates National Teacher Awardee-2025 Peleno Petenilhu

DIMAPUR — The Directorate of School Education (DoSE) on Friday organised a special felicitation programme in honour of National Teacher Awardee –2025 Peleno Petenilhu, PGT at John GHSS Viswema.

The event was held at Morung conference hall, DoSE Kohima, where senior officials, school heads, teachers, and staff gathered to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of the awardee, the DoSE stated in an update.

Peleno Petenilhu was conferred the National Teachers' Award-2025 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in recognition of her outstanding contribution as an educator.

She was selected through a rigorous three-stage selection process - district, state, and national online levels - for her innovative 'Each One, Teach One' teaching technique, which has made a significant impact on student learning.

Speaking at the programme, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor of School Education & SCERT, commended the awardee for bringing national recognition to the state.

He emphasised that the achievement reflects the commitment and hard work of teachers across Nagaland who continue to strive for excellence despite challenges.

 “This honour is not only a personal achievement but an inspiration for the entire teaching community of Nagaland,” Yhome added.
