DIMAPUR — The District Health Society, Tuensang, launched the Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan (SUMAN) at the Chief Medical Officer's (CMO) Office in Tuensang on Wednesday.
According to an update, Dr. Waulong Phom, DPO (Reproductive and Child Health and Universal Immunisation Programme) Tuensang, highlighted the objectives of SUMAN, the service guarantee charter, entitlements under the SUMAN initiative, and SUMAN volunteers' roles and responsibilities.
He also discussed high-risk pregnancy (HRP), HRP codes under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare format (ePMSMA), the purpose of the HRP register and format, HRP reporting for incentives, Health Management Information System (HMIS) reporting of HRP, extended Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) (ePMSMA) for tracking high-risk pregnancies, and ePMSMA reporting in the PMSMA portal.

Judicious utilisation of funds discussed at Phek DPDB meeting
Putusola, District Community Mobiliser, Tuensang, took a session where she covered topics such as challenges on VHSND and the four components of VHSND: health, nutrition, sanitation, and early childhood development.
She mentioned that a quality Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day (VHSND) depends on the Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee (VHSNC), convergence at VHSNDs with government departments, civil society and faith-based organisations, and records on attendance. She focused on the need for SHG-NSRLM to be a part of VHSNC and VHSND meetings.
