District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit Tuensang held a Red Run marathon to spread awareness on HIV, with 122 youths participating.

DIMAPUR — The District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Tuensang, organised a district-level youth fest marathon, Red Run, in Tuensang on August 2.
The event was led by Chongshen C Chang, District Programme Officer, DAPCU Tuensang, and the marathon was flagged off by Longpoksang Lumtor, Superintendent of Police, Tuensang, according to an update.
Speaking on the occasion, Moasanen Imsong, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) of Tuensang, urged the participants to understand that they were not merely running a race. Instead, through this marathon, they should raise awareness about the district’s HIV status and engage with the community.
He congratulated all the winners and expressed his gratitude to all the participants and those who contributed to the programme.

A total of 122 youths took part in the race.
In the male category, Changsang Wongto secured the first position, followed by Sochiu S Khiam in second place and Khongo in third. In the female category, Sanglelemla secured the first position, followed by P Julliam in second and Jemie Y in third, respectively.
