DIMAPUR — The Directorate of Minority Affairs organised a sensitisation and awareness programme on various schemes and activities of the department at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire, on Thursday.
According to a DIPR report, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, delivered the welcome address, while the Joint Secretary of Minority Affairs, Andrew C Imti, gave the keynote address.

Assistant Project Officer Thejavizo Rio spoke on the Micro-Credit Scheme under the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation. Joint Director Imti focused on the Minority Scholarship and Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram Scheme.
The programme aimed to create awareness about various schemes and initiatives implemented by the Directorate of Minority Affairs and to promote better outreach and understanding among the public and stakeholders.
The district heads of offices under Kiphire; representatives from village and town councils; and representatives from religious minority communities, including Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and Zoroastrian communities, attended the programme.
