DoES releases survey report for local level planning

Neidilhou Keditsu releasing the survey report on local/ block level statistics for local level planning in Kohima on Friday.


  • DIMAPUR — Neidilhou Keditsu, director of the Economics and Statistics Department (DoES), on Friday released the survey report on local/ block level statistics for local level planning 2024 during the general conference of Nagaland Economics and Statistics Service Association (NESSA) held at its conference hall in Kohima.

  • An update from the department stated that the survey report contained information on the availability of basic amenities at the grassroots for inclusive system of planning by providing quality data. It added that the statistical data would enable the state government to effectively formulate policies for livelihood and uplift of the community at the local level. Besides, it would help the villages to understand their level of development and to strive for progress.

  • “The survey was canvassed in 1285 villages as on March 31, 2024, recognised by the Rural Development department covering 41 parameters such as electricity, road connectivity, public transport, phone service, educational institutes, medical facilities, veterinary health centre, village council hall, playground, indoor stadium, marketing shed, Anganwadi centre, fair price shop, water supply (PHED), public toilet, bank, ATM booth, police beat post, police station, common service centre (CSC), self help group (SHG), street light, internet connectivity (fiber to the home),” the statement read.

  • As part of strengthening of statistical system and to create awareness on the importance of data at the grassroots, a copy of survey report would be distributed to all the recognised villages in the state, it added.
