NST corruption enquiry report to be made public soon

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Sumi Council (DSC) office gate was inaugurated with a formal ceremony at Supply Colony, Dimapur, on Saturday. The gate was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Kihoto Rochill, senior pastor of Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church (DSBC).
Niholu Ayemi, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Transport department, formally opened it as the special guest.
Ayemi commended the council for completing the gate's construction and hoped it would symbolise unity and progress. He assured continued support and urged collective efforts for societal welfare and development.

Speaking on the sidelines of the DSC office gate inauguration, Ayemi said the department has concluded its enquiry into the Nagaland State Transport (NST) general manager's office corruption allegations. He added that the decision will be made public soon, and action will follow, as the government had ordered the enquiry.

It may be recalled that in January, candidates undergoing training alleged they were asked to pay INR 10,000 each in cash for "paperwork" over a phone call and were asked to report to the GM's office with original documents and cash.
The Transport department had then ordered a departmental inquiry, stating no official was authorised to collect money.
