Dimapur Police recovers unidentified body

DIMAPUR — An unidentified non-Naga male, aged approximately 50-60 years, was found dead below the flyover near Hotel Blue Bird, Dimapur, on December 6.

According to an update from Dimapur Police, the police personnel on duty rushed to the place of occurrence and conducted an inquest over the dead body.

It was learnt that the deceased was a homeless person and often slept in the area. No visible injury marks could be established on the body, and the cause of death is suspected to be due to starvation and illness.

On completion of all legal formalities, the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification. The deceased was wearing a black t-shirt and a white shirt.
