DIMAPUR — The Welfare Society for Handicapped People, Dimapur (WSHPD), organised its 34th Pre-Christmas celebration-cum-medical camp at the Dimapur Railway Station premises on Sunday.


The event aimed at extending festive warmth and essential healthcare support to differently abled individuals.


The celebration featured activities and entertainment segments. Alongside the programme, a free medical camp was conducted by a team of healthcare professionals, offering medical consultations and basic check-ups.

Rev. JB Gurung, founder of WSHPD, delivered the exhortation, while a short speech was presented by Zubeno from Mission to the Blind, followed by a message shared by Grace.


Ten nursing students from North East Christian University (NECU) Nursing College assisted in the medical screening. The camp was facilitated by Dr. Bano, Dr. Aoyanger, and Dr. Tennok from District Hospital Peren, along with a team of doctors from District Hospital Dimapur.


The invocation prayer was led by Lessing, with testimonies shared by Kiheto and Daniel Chetri. The programme concluded with a mass prayer and a Christmas feast.
