DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has demanded immediate action from the government of Nagaland over what it described as “continued inaction” in the Nirmal Jain case, nearly six months after the union first submitted ‘evidence and documentation’ to the authorities.
Despite the deputy commissioner of Dimapur forwarding the district’s findings to the commissioner more than a month ago, the DNSU said that it has received no official response, calling the government’s silence “deeply concerning.”
In a statement issued on Thursday, the union cautioned that the public is closely watching the government’s next move, stressing that the outcome will serve as a message against exploitation and fraudulent dealings targeting the Naga people.

Reiterating its stand, the DNSU warned that any individuals or groups found involved in land or financial dealings related to the case would face firm opposition from both the union and the public.
It further cautioned that any officials or organisations attempting to misuse the issue for personal gain would face strict action.
The union warned that continued inaction could lead to democratic protests and agitation.
