Dimapur Municipal Council issues warning against unauthorised printing of official materials

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has issued a warning against unauthorised printing and fabrication of official materials.

According to a press release, it has been observed that several printing presses and individuals have been producing official receipt books, office identity cards, and other office materials without valid authorisation from the council.

It also stated that some entities have been reproducing the office rubber seal and digitally copying or scanning the signature of the undersigned for use in unauthorised materials.

The council noted that such actions constitute serious misconduct and amount to illegal fabrication of official documents. The reproduction of the office rubber seal, as well as the creation or use of scanned signatures of the undersigned without explicit written approval, strictly violates official protocols and can attract legal consequences.

The DMC has issued a strict and final warning that any printing press, business establishment, or individual found producing, reproducing, fabricating, or distributing any official materials, including unauthorised impressions of the office rubber seal or scanned/digitally inserted signatures, will face stringent legal and administrative action as per relevant laws and regulations.

All concerned have been directed to cease and desist from such practices with immediate effect. The council stated that only documents and materials issued through proper official requisition and duly authenticated by the office shall be recognised as valid.
