DIMAPUR — A lecture on ‘Digital brain drain – protecting the mind in a hyperconnected world’ was conducted at Rangapahar Military Station in Dimapur. The session was attended by serving personnel of the garrison.
According to an update, the lecture was delivered by a public health specialist through real-life narratives and interactive demonstrations.
It was mentioned that the growing challenges of smartphone dependence, online gaming, and digital fatigue among troops and their families were highlighted. He explained the scientific basis of social media addiction and compulsive smartphone usage.
The talk focused on understanding the psychological impact of excessive screen use, recognising early signs of digital addiction, and developing practical strategies for digital discipline and mental resilience.
The session also emphasised that digital wellness is integral to health, concentration, and operational effectiveness.
