Dimapur Government College organises workshop on beauty, self-care and wellness to create awareness among faculty and students.

DIMAPUR — The Skill Development Committee of Dimapur Government College (DGC), in collaboration with the IQAC, organised a one-day state level workshop on ‘beauty, self-care and wellness’ on Wednesday at the college’s seminar hall.
An update from the college stated that the workshop was organised with an aimed to create awareness on the importance of self-care, grooming and holistic well-being among faculty members and students.
It stated that HukaliAvito Swu, renowned makeup artist, beauty educator and former cabin crew professional, conducted the session as the resource person. She invited volunteers for demonstrations on makeup, facial, and waxing, wherein seven faculty members came forward to participate.

It stated that makeup, facial, hairstyling, waxing and threading were demonstrated by students, who are enrolled in the two-month beauty crash course offered by the college.
During makeup and facial demonstrations, the resource person shared important insights and explained each step of the skincare and makeup routines. The session also focused on various make-up application techniques such as foundation blending, use of setting powder, eyelash and selecting the correct foundation shade. Additionally, she demonstrated facial massage techniques on a student using a Gua Sha tool.
It stated that waxing, hairstyling and threading demonstrations were carried out on the volunteers. It added that the participants raised several questions, which was addressed by the resource person, making the session highly interactive, informative and well-received by all.
