DIMAPUR — The Tenyimi Churches Pastors and Deacons’ Fellowship (TCPDF) held its 5th biennial conference from October 17 to the 19th at Tenyimi Church in Mon town on the theme “Grounded in the Word.”


An update from the Fellowship stated that the conference featured speakers namely Rev. Wichampau Nchang, executive secretary of Liangmai Baptist Araung (LBA), and Krodilhou Vimera, pastor of Rusoma Baptist Church, who shared messages rooted in scripture and spiritual renewal.


It stated that Yunchilo Khing, district statistical officer (DSO) of Mon, attended the conference as the guest of honour, while words of encouragement were shared by Kaipha Konyak, president of the Baptist Pastors Fellowship, Mon town.


It stated that TCPDF convenor, Vechulo Doulo, welcomed the gathering with an introductory address and set the tone for three-day fellowship, worship and reflection.

A special highlight of the conference was the participation of the conference praise and worship team led by pianist Kute Lachu. It added that songs were presented by youth choir of Gorkha Baptist Church, Mon; Inter Collegiate Evangelical Union (ICEU); Hindi-Nagamese Church Mon town and Tenyimi Churches from Peren and Mon.


The event witnessed over 120 participants including delegates, resource persons, and well-wishers, reflecting the spirit of unity and shared faith among the Tenyimi church communities.


At the closing ceremony on October 19, Araibo Newmai, general secretary of TCPDF, announced that the next conference would be held in 2027 at Zunheboto Tenyimi Church. He encouraged all members to remain prayerful and committed in preparation for the upcoming gathering.
