- DIMAPUR — The farewell programme of Prof.
Sanjay Sharma, principal of Dimapur Government College (DGC), was held on April
12 at the Central Library of DGC.
- According to an update, the programme was also attended by
Temjen Imna Along, the Minister of Higher Education and Tourism, as well as the
Alumni Association and Parent-Teacher Association of DGC.
- During the event, speeches were made by the teachers,
non-teaching staff, alumni and members of parent-teacher associations, the
students' council, and various units in the college. All of them highlighted
the commitment and contribution of the retiree during his illustrious career
and his tenure as principal at DGC.
- Dr. Vinyuhu Lhoungu, the internal quality assurance cell
(IQAC) coordinator of DGC, gave a report on the various achievements and
projects undertaken under his leadership and thanked him for developing DGC
into a premier institution in the state.

- The minister also congratulated Prof. Sharma and thanked him
for his exemplary service to the state of Nagaland.
- In his farewell speech, Prof. Sharma thanked the DGC family
for organising such a programme while highlighting the areas in which the
college has room to grow.
