Draft electoral rolls under Special Intensive Revision 2026, published across Nagaland districts, with claims and objections invited.
DIMAPUR — Draft electoral rolls under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 were published across the state on September 20, with election authorities asking eligible electors to verify their entries and file claims and objections within the prescribed period.
According to a DIPR report, the revision is being conducted with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.
In Dimapur, the draft photo electoral roll was published at the Office Chamber of the deputy commissioner (DC). DC and District Election Officer (DEO) Dr. Tinojongshi Chang informed representatives of recognised political parties that the roll was not final and urged them to scrutinise the entries and report discrepancies.
According to the summary report, the three assembly constituencies (ACs) in Dimapur had 1,25,703 electors in 2025. During SIR 2026, 36,629 electors were deleted, bringing the number in the draft roll 2026 to 89,074.
The draft rolls for 1-Dimapur-I, 2-Dimapur-II and 3-Dimapur-III have been made available at the offices of the respective EROs and with BLOs. Claims and objections may be filed on or before October 20 using Form 6 with Annexure IV, Form 7 or Form 8, as applicable.

In Mokokchung, DC and DEO Ajit Kumar Verma distributed the draft rolls to political party representatives. Following house-to-house enumeration and digitisation, 1,56,302 pre-draft electors, comprising 73,890 male and 74,512 female electors, were identified. A total of 7,900 electors were listed as uncollectable due to deaths, absence, permanent shifting, enrolment elsewhere and other reasons.
Tseminyu's draft electoral roll comprises 23,104 electors, including 11,123 male and 11,976 female electors. The district has 136 service voters and 47 polling stations. Of 24,246 forms processed, 23,104 were verified, while 1,142 cases were categorised as uncollectable, including 442 dead, 395 permanently shifted, 54 already enrolled elsewhere, 238 absent and 13 under other categories.
Peren published draft rolls for the 6-Tening and 7-Peren ACs. The district has 53,859 electors, comprising 26,609 male and 27,250 female electors. Tening has 26,508 electors, and Peren has 27,351. During the SIR exercise, 8,267 electors were identified under the categories of absent, shifted, dead and double entry. Polling Station No. 7/21-Jalukie B (N/W) was also bifurcated after crossing the threshold of 1,200 electors.
Tuensang's draft electoral roll contains 71,368 electors, comprising 36,282 male and 35,086 female electors, across four ACs and 137 polling stations. Of 80,400 enumeration forms processed, 71,368, or 88.77%, were verified, while 9,032, or 11.23%, were recorded as Uncollectable Enumeration Forms.
In Longleng, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and ERO Thungchanbemo Tungoe handed over copies of the draft electoral rolls to political party representatives at the DC conference hall and called for active participation through BLAs. For the 49 Tamlu AC, ADC and ERO T Lankonsen Tsanglao issued a public notice stating that the draft roll is available for inspection at the ADC office, the office of the concerned AERO and polling stations through BLOs. Claims and objections may be submitted until October 20. In Kiphire, representatives of registered political parties collected copies of the draft electoral roll during a programme at the DC's conference hall.
In Pughoboto, election officials briefed political party representatives on the draft electoral roll for the 13-Pughoboto assembly constituency and asked them to participate in the revision process by submitting claims and objections wherever necessary.
Election authorities across the districts appealed to electors, political parties and other stakeholders to verify the draft rolls and submit claims and objections within the stipulated period.
