Draft electoral rolls for Kohima, Chümoukedima and Wokha districts were published under SIR 2026, with Wokha recording 1,02,271 electors after 6,547 deletions.
Wokha draft roll records 1.02 lakh electors after 6,547 entries deleted in Special Intensive Revision
DIMAPUR — Draft electoral rolls for Assembly constituencies in Kohima, Chümoukedima and Wokha districts were published on Sunday as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Photo Electoral Rolls, 2026, with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.

In Wokha district, the draft roll records 1,02,271 electors across four Assembly constituencies, following the deletion of 6,547 electors during the enumeration exercise, an official update stated.
Prior to the revision, Wokha had 1,08,818 electors across the 37th Tyui, 38th Wokha, 39th Sanis and 40th Bhandari constituencies.
During enumeration from August 16 to September 14, a total of 1,02,271 Enumeration Forms were received and digitised.
The 6,547 deletions comprised 1,928 deceased electors, 928 untraceable or absent electors, 3,333 permanently shifted electors, 273 duplicate entries and 85 under other categories.
The revised draft roll lists 24,840 electors in Tyui, 28,252 in Wokha, 23,426 in Sanis and 25,753 in Bhandari.

Three new polling stations have also been created at Koio II and Tsungiki IV under the 37th Tyui AC and Yimpang II under the 40th Bhandari AC.
In Kohima district, draft rolls have been published for the 8thWestern Angami, 9th Kohima Town, 10th Northern Angami-I, 11th-Northern Angami-II, 14th Southern Angami-I and 15th Southern Angami-II Assembly constituencies.
The rolls are available for inspection at the respective Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) offices and with Booth Level Officers.
In Chümoukedima district, draft rolls for the 4th Ghaspani-I and 5th Ghaspani-II Assembly constituencies were also published on September 20. They are available for inspection at the respective ERO offices and polling stations during office hours.

Electors may file claims for inclusion of names, objections to the inclusion of names, or objections to particulars in any entry in the draft rolls until October 20. Claims and objections are to be submitted to the respective EROs in Form 6, Form 7 or Form 8, as applicable. Form 6 applications are to be accompanied by Annexure IV (Declaration Form), where required.
In Wokha, the claims and objections period is also from September 20 to October 20, while the final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on November 22, 2026.
The list of claims and objections will be made available on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nagaland, and displayed on the notice boards of the respective ERO offices and election branches on working days.
The notices for Ghaspani-I and Ghaspani-II were issued by EROs T Lemlila Sangtam and P James Swu, respectively, while the Kohima notice was issued by Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer B Henok Buchem.
The SIR exercise is aimed at ensuring the inclusion of eligible citizens and maintaining accurate and updated electoral rolls. The final electoral roll for the State is scheduled to be published in November 2026.
