Dimapur District Two-Wheeler Taxi Association celebrated its seventh foundation day with the official launch of the WHIZZ ride-hailing app.

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur District Two-Wheeler Taxi Association (DDTWTA) celebrated its seventh foundation day at Kuda 'A' Khel Jotsoma Community Hall in Dimapur on August 29, marked by the official launch of a new ride-hailing and mobility platform called "WHIZZ".
According to a press release, the WHIZZ app was launched by the chief guest, Zasivikho Zakiesato, who is the President of the Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation (DUCCF).
The launch of the app marks a major step towards digitalising two-wheeler taxi services and empowering local youth with technology-driven employment.
In his address, Zakiesato lauded the efforts of the association for creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and for its disciplined and dedicated service to the public.
President of DDTWTA Shiyeto Wotsa highlighted the journey of the association, its role in generating youth employment, and providing affordable mobility for the people of Dimapur.
Additionally, an informative awareness session on traffic rules and road safety was delivered by the officer-in-charge of the Dimapur Traffic Police.
