The Department of School Education has selected 11 teachers for the State Level Teachers Award 2026, while Seigin Haokip of Peren was selected for Financial Assistance to Teachers 2026.
KOHIMA — The Department of School Education has selected 11 teachers for the State Level Teachers Award 2026.
The awards will be presented during the State Level Teachers’ Day Celebration scheduled to be held on September 5 at Kohima Local Ground, Khuochiezie.
The awardees are Vika S Sumi, Graduate Teacher (GT), Government High School (GHS), Sitimi, Kiphire; Albert Tungoe, GT (Mathematics), GHS Forest Colony, Kohima; Mhasikholie Sachü, GT (Science), TMGHSS, Kohima; Kezhalezo Solo, GT, GHS PWD Colony, Kohima; C Pangjei Keikung, GT, GHS Yachem, Longleng; and Nirmal Sarkar, GT, BGHSS, Longleng.
The other awardees are Longrimendang, GT, GHS Mangmetong, Mokokchung; S. Hongen Thangti Chang, GT, GMS Shamator A; Newkai, PGT, GHSS Shamator; P Thsangtsumong Yimchunger, PGT, GHSS Shamator; and Hitilo Kath, PGT, GHSS Tseminyu.
Meanwhile, Seigin Haokip, a Primary Teacher (PT) from Peren district, has been selected for the Financial Assistance to Teachers 2026. Haokip is the sole teacher selected for the grant.
