Dimapur District Taekwondo Association conducts taekwondo championship

• DIMAPUR — Dimapur District Taekwondo Association (DDTA) organised its 24th Dimapur District Kyurogi Championship and 1st Poomsae Taekwondo Championship from June 5 to the 7th at MDSC Stadium, near DC Court Junction, Dimapur.

• According to an update from the DDTA, the team championship was won by SSTA, with Dreamworks Taekwondo Academy as runners-up. The association thanked all the clubs, schools, and academies for participating in the event.

• It said that more than 230 players participated in the championship, and 65 players were selected to represent Dimapur district at the upcoming 35th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship in Longleng from July 29 to the 31st.

• The association also thanked Howoto Jakhalu, president of DDTA, for physical and financial support during the tournament, the DSO for allowing the tournament to be hosted at MDSC, and the CMO and their medical team.
