- DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has announced the celebration of Olympic Day
2025, scheduled to take place on June 23 at the Indira Gandhi (IG) Stadium in
Kohima. The event will feature the Olympic Day Run, a special race event
dedicated to children between the ages of 8 and 12 years.
- A press release on Wednesday informed that the Olympic Day
Run aims to promote the core Olympic values of friendship, excellence, and
respect by encouraging physical activity, education, and community involvement
among young participants.

- The races will be conducted across four age-based
categories. Children born between June 22, 2015, and June 22, 2016, will
compete in the 50-metre run. Those born between June 22, 2014, and June 22,
2015, and between June 22, 2013, and June 22, 2014, will participate in the
80-metre races.
- Children born between June 22, 2012, and June 22, 2013, will
take part in the 100-metre event. Both boys and girls will compete separately
within their respective categories.
- The event will begin at 8 am, and all participants are
expected to report at the venue on time. With a total prize pool of over INR 1
lakh, the Olympic Day Run is expected to draw significant interest from young
runners and their families across the state.
- Registration for the event opened on May 31 and will close
on June 17. Interested participants can register through the official NOA
social media handles, by scanning a QR code provided by the organisers, or by
collecting and submitting offline forms at the NOA Office in Kohima. For any
