DIMAPUR — The Dimapur District Lotha Gaon Bura Union (DDLGBU) commemorated its 20th Rising Day at the Duncan Bosti Community Hall in Dimapur on June 12.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Lotha Hoho Dimapur Thungchaithung Murry and Dr. Polaud Lotha highlighted the vital role played by gaon buras (GBs) in promoting peace, unity, and social harmony and in preserving the values and traditions of the community.
According to an update, the chief guest, GK Rengma, commended the union for its service and acknowledged the significant contributions made by GBS in grassroots administration, dispute resolution, and community development, urging members to remain united.
As a mark of respect, the gathering observed a minute of silence in memory of departed GBs, paying tribute to their contributions.
