Peren DEO announces the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls with verification beginning August 16.
DIMAPUR — The Office of the District Election Officer (DEO), Peren, has informed that the Election Commission of India (ECI) will undertake the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the district.
In Peren, the qualifying date for the Special Intensive Revision is October 1. According to the notified schedule, preparation, training, and printing will be carried out from August 5 to the 14th, followed by house-to-house verification by booth-level officers (BLOs) from August 16 to September 14.
According to a DIPR report, the draft electoral roll will be published on September 20, while the period for filing claims and objections will continue until October 20.
After the disposal of claims and objections, the final electoral roll will be published on November 22.
The DEO of Peren has appealed to all eligible electors in the district to extend full cooperation to BLOs during the house-to-house verification process and ensure their electoral details are accurate. Recognised political parties have also been requested to appoint booth level agents (BLAs) for every polling station.
