Noklak district administration issues directives to all heads of departments to assist in the ongoing house listing and Census 2027.
DIMAPUR — The district administration of Noklak issued a notice on July 22 requesting all heads of departments and heads of offices in the Noklak district to assist in the conduct of Census 2027.
The administration stated that the House Listing Operation and Housing Census are currently in progress and are scheduled to conclude on July 30. The second phase, which is the population enumeration, will be conducted in February 2027.
The district administration stated that the census is the largest statistical exercise undertaken by the government and will provide vital data for planning, policy formulation, and development across all sectors. It noted that the success of the census requires the active participation and cooperation of every section of society, both governmental and non-governmental.
According to a DIPR report, in this regard, the district administration urged all heads of departments under Noklak district to support and cooperate in ensuring the successful conduct of Census 2027. It requested them to issue necessary instructions to their employees to ensure they are enumerated at their usual place of residence.
Government employees must be enumerated in their ordinary place of posting. Additionally, heads of departments must ensure that government buildings, residential quarters, offices, and other structures owned by or under the custody or control of their respective departments are duly covered during the house listing operation.
