DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has directed all its affiliated members and the business community under its jurisdiction not to entertain any form of donation requests, summons, or information-seeking activities initiated by the Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU).
In a statement issued on Friday, the DCCI said the directive was in line with the joint resolution adopted on June 3, 2026, by the DCCI, Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF), and GB Union Dimapur Sadar (GBUDS).
The chamber further instructed its members and the business community to immediately report any such incidents to the DCCI Grievances Cell or any of its office-bearers.
The DCCI also appealed to the DUCCF and GBUDS to disseminate information regarding the non-cooperation movement against DNSU among the business community and the general public within their respective colonies and jurisdictions.
While clarifying that it does not support any member engaged in illegal business activities, DCCI maintained that the random closure of business establishments by a student body was "totally uncalled for" and should be condemned by all sections of society.

The chamber stated that if members of the public, unions, or student organisations come across any discrepancies, malpractices, or unfair trade practices involving the business community, such matters should be reported to the relevant authorities for appropriate action.
Reiterating its stand on the rule of law, DCCI asserted that no individual or organisation should take the law into their own hands, adding that no one is above the law.
